Baoyang Chen’s Solo Exhibition “Framework” at Cloud Gallery

The concept of “frame” is always being associated with “restraint” or “constraint” that should be broken down for the purpose of freedom.

However, in Chinese artist Chen Baoyang’s latest exhibition “framework”, he challenges the preconceived idea on “frame” by redefining “frame” as a pre-written boundary and set of rules that infinite creative processes can be built in.

With numerous frames scattered throughout every corner of cloud gallery, the frame shop/exhibition venue is transformed into a dreamlike field where the perception of space has been distorted.
