Meet the 2017 Asia Game Changers

Each year, asia society presents the asia game changer awards,
recognizing individuals and organizations making a transformative and
positive difference toward the future of Asia and the world.

This year, prior to the evening award ceremony, six of this year’s
nine awardees shared their inspiring stories at Asia Society.

The six speakers include award-winning actor and philanthropist, Dev
Patel, Aisholpan Nurgaiv, the first Mongolian woman to compete the
country’s golden eagle festival, Cambodian environmental activist Leng
Ouch, Afghanistan’s first female rapper and activist against forced
marriages, Sonita Alizadeh, Sherrie Westin, executive vice president
of global impact and philanthropy for sesame workshop, and Chinese
musician and composer, and Grammy award winner Wu Tong.

These awardees are all outstanding for their constant dedication,
passion and devotion to meeting the world’s toughest challenges and
building understandings between cultures and constructing a better
future for all the people around the globe.
