Nan Cao – Using Illustration to Spin Webs of Dreams

After spending two years of college learning oil painting, cao nan had picked up useful technical skills but was looking for more freedom and possibility in terms of narrating stories.That’s when she decided to switch from fine art to illustration and pursue degrees at MICA and SVA.

Cao Nan’s illustration style varies from project to project, some are complex works with refined line strokes while others capture a more childlike cartoon style.
