Ping Pong is considered China’s national sport because Chinese players have been dominating the international ping pong arena for decades. Many retired Chinese ping pong players maintain such good form they are eligible to play in professional games in many other countries.
Liu Juan, a former Chinese national team player with 9 years of Chinese super league experience came to the u.s. In the December of
2011. Partnering with friends, Liu Juan opened New York Indoor Sports Club in flushing to teach the younger generations to play ping pong.
Two years ago, she became a U.S. citizen, which allowed her to participate in the renowned US national table tennis championships. After preparing for several months, she joined several rounds of games, going on to win first place in the women’s single, women’s doubles, and third place for mixed doubles.
