Occupation Nation: Preservationist, Hung-hsi Chao

Upon joining the WMF(World Monuments Fund) in 2013 as a program
associate, Hung-hsi Chao is the only Chinese employee at WMF’s
headquarters in NYC.

A rich knowledge of Chinese history and culture combined with
extensive working and living experience in Beijing and Shanghai gave
Hung-hsi Chao a unique advantage when working on projects dedicated to
conserving cultural heritage sites in China. Chao is currently working
on the project of the Grand Theater in Prince Kung's Mansion, Beijing.
