Shakespeare’s Hamlet meets Chinese Kunqu Opera

Asia Society presented “I Halmlet” earlier this week.

Rewritten in the ancient Chinese prose and Kunqu opera format, the bilingual show follows the story of Shakespeare's Hamlet.

It is an adaption of Kunqu opera style of monologue, Chinese opera star Zhang Jun plays four different roles in one play.
