Sit, Eat and Chew: Hidden Chinese Stories in Dance

There is a Chinese proverb - Wǔ Wèi Zá Chén 五味杂陈 - that uses the five flavors (sour, sweet, bitter, spicy and salty) to describe life's up and down's. In Sit, Eat and Chew, this proverb is personified in personal stories, and serves as the creative and emotional inspiration for the dance performances. Small audience groups are taken around Chinatown, as the works are performed in 5 public and private locations.
