Students ask for department for Asian American Studies in Hunter College

New York City is home to more than one million Asian Americans and 30 percent of students in Hunter College are Asian Americans. However, there is still not a department for Asian Studies in Hunter College.

CRAASH--the Coalition for the Revitalization of Asian American Studies at Hunter College find they are in a similar situation 10 years ago, trying to save a dying Asian American Studies program.

This time, they want more than adding some courses and only one -time program director. They want a new department.
