For many Chinese language film fans, Sylvia Chang is not an unfamiliar name. Having worked in the film industry for about 4 decades, she has captivated audiences with her remarkable performances, award-winning screenplays, and directorial vision.
From May 18th through the 27th, the first major U.S. retrospective of Sylvia Chang’s works will be presented at New York’s Metrograph cinema, showcasing not only films starring Sylvia such as “All About Ah-lang” and “Mountains May Depart”,
but also 5 films she directed, which include: Xiaoyu, Tempting Heart, and Love education.
